I can't even take part in group chats cos I'm worried that my comments wont be read the way I say it in my head. The silence afterwards just confirms it! 😭

I explode when that happens and then replay it on loop constantly for days/week. Then it will rerun randomly for years, I hate it so much.

It’s because people with ADHD feel emotions more strongly than most others. Rejection FEELS more intense, but so does happiness.

Sometimes all it takes is someone not responding to a text right away. And yes, it's like a dagger to the heart. And my reaction to it dis-eases the relationship.

“It passes after 30 minutes”… I’m not able to shake the feeling for days, sometimes weeks. The more important the person, the longer it takes to get past it.

omg this is so true, the rage builds and the injustice I find hard to hold back, then the argument can start 😳

RSD - I feel the immediate need to explain myself if I’ve been misinterpreted but then stop because they don’t really care anyway which makes me spiral even more. And the injustice sensitivity OMG.

My rage during such moments last for hours. When someone unjustly maligns me, I can never bring myself to trust, respect or like that person again.

My therapist brought this to my attention in my 30s, it was a gamechanger. He recommended I try Intuniv, and it was a life changer for me and helps immensely with the emotional control element of ADD

I try to avoid this by thinking every possible interpretation and try to make sure I don’t come across the wrong way, and I end up over analyzing and explaining

I used to apologize constantly— even if I just felt misunderstood. Now I try to pause and ask: “Did I actually mess up? Or am I just feeling anxious about the confusion?”
