Pretty sure using those filters on the valve covers is acting like a vacuum leak.

under the valve covers are part of the vacuum system. if you hook up a smoke leak detector in the vacuum system smoke will be pouring out of those filters. put it back to OEM

Chevys check engine light flashes it’s a miss fire if it’s not the spark plugs wire coal packs it’s the hydraulic lifters

Blinking check engine light is random misfire and the intake you have is a cathedral port the square port ls3 version is a wider rectangle port all aftermarket cathedral port intakes are like that

you more than likely have a vacuum leak. can run the lil baby filters on the valve covers with no probs i have em on my stock 5.3
