she didn't decide to not go to school one day. She actually really loved school and even joined the volleyball team there and made some friends. She wasn't popular at school but she had a small circle. Peers described her as outgoing, sociable, friendly and very smart but she was also very childish and immature for her age (hence why she needed extra care). No she wasn't diagnosed with a disability that affected her mobility in any way nor was she having symptoms of decreased mobility before the incident happened with the sofa. She was very athletic and could run/walk. At 14 years old, her parents forced her out of school to "homeschool" her (as they claimed but I don't think that's true). She didn't want to leave school and they did that against her will. They forced her to lie down on the sofa for 12 years. All she could do was watch TV and eat/drink (although most days she wasn't fed or even given a drink). When your body stays in one position all day everyday it starts to stiffen up in that position to a point where you can't move any limbs/muscles. That how her mobility became decreased. Overtime the sofa started to rot in the place she was laid down on due to poor hygiene making her gradually become buried in the sofa and suffocating her. Flies started to swarm the area and the area started to smell but she was still alive and conscious. One morning, her parents came to the living room to find her unresponsive. They called 911 (emergency number for the USA) and paramedics came and she was pronounced d3ad at the scene. Her parents got arrested and charged for neglect and I think murder as well.
