Melt browned butter and chopped chocolate together until smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk sugar and eggs until pale. Stir in the chocolate mixture, then fold in flour, cocoa, and salt. Pour into tin and bake for 22 minutes. Cool completely. 3. Prepare mascarpone cream:
Whip mascarpone, double cream, and sugar together until smooth and thick. Spread over the cooled brownie base and refrigerate for 1 hour. 4. Make caramel topping:
Gently heat the caramel and 2 tbsp double cream in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth and pourable. Let it cool slightly, then spread over the mascarpone layer.
