masters allowance is generally only used for roles where it's relevant, think analysts etc. especially with cuts at the moment - allowances are only provided where needed

Never seen the masters allowance for a role and worked in the CS for 7 years. analyst G7 role in HO, nearly 70k straight in. Got to be one of the best paid departments.
