@mamawgailcooks: My Strawberry Poke Cake 🍰🍓 Ingredients: • 1 box yellow cake mix • 1 cup water • ½ cup oil • 2 eggs • 1 (3 oz) box strawberry Jell-O • 1 cup boiling water • 1 cup cold water • 16 oz ready-to-use strawberry glaze • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped • 8 oz Cool Whip whipped topping Instructions: 1. Prepare the Cake: • Preheat oven to 350°F. • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan. • In a bowl, mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until smooth. • Pour batter into the pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until done. • Let the cake cool slightly. 2. Make the Jell-O Mixture: • In a bowl, dissolve strawberry Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water. • Stir in 1 cup cold water. 3. Assemble the Cake: • Poke holes all over the cake using a fork or skewer. • Slowly pour the Jell-O mixture over the cake (you may not need all of it). 4. Add the Strawberry Topping: • In a bowl, mix chopped strawberries with strawberry glaze. • Spread the mixture evenly over the cake. 5. Finish with Cool Whip: • Spread Cool Whip over the strawberry layer. • Garnish with additional strawberries. 6. Chill & Serve: • Refrigerate before serving.
