@bayanlabangr: A protest led by progressive organizations was blocked at Gate 1 of Cavite State University-Main Campus. From Laya’t Diwa, the rally led by Kabataan Partylist-CvSU (KPL-CvSU) and Anakbayan was about to head to the softball field when the gate was suddenly closed. In the end, the protest continued inside the campus. Some of the issues the group called for were academic freedom, opposition to militarization of the university, and increased funding for education. Meanwhile, authorities declined to be interviewed about the tension that has built up here. #cavitestateuniversity #cvsu #studentprotest #studentsolidarity #solidarity #iskolarngbayan #iskolarngbayanngayonaylumalaban #iskolarbazaar #youth #kabataan #kabataanpagasangbayan #academicfreedom #suc #budgetcuts #notomandatoryrotc #lgbtqia #lgbtqiarightsarehumanrights #nojusticenopeace #makibakahuwagmatakot #philippines #pilipinas
