This is a common reaction unfortunately. I don't think it makes him inherently racist but it is problematic. It's a visceral reaction. It was an easier reaction bc he doesn't identify in anyway with black people. I think he'd be as upset had the person been white, but the actions definitely wouldn't have been the same

I’ve gone to movie theaters (Paid) more than what the movie was worth, bought his movies on Prime video and even encouraged family members to watch (watch whatever) new movie he had out at the time and he says this🤨 1. Shame on him for doing that and thinking that way towards blk ppl. 2. Shame on me for spending my hard earned money on him!!! Liam Neeson ✌️

this is actually a really good educational moment for people who do not beleive in internalized racism. I posted a comment earlier and now I do not see it so I will repost. I know my fellow black people in the comments are upset but this is actually a really good conversation to have and the fact it was done with a black woman makes it better. he was able to call his racism what it was, racism while apologizing and not deflecting on national television. we need more conversations like this if we want to end systematic racism
