Would you say that the hike would be difficult for someone who is scared of heights? Do you at any point have to walk through parts that are narrow,steep, and with a drop-off on one side?

That was a crazy hike! We only made it .5 to the look out. So beautiful. Falls will be a bucket list goal. We aren’t hikers coming from “flatland” VA haha. It was strenuous!!

Just did the full kalalau hike- would def recommend backpacking it if you ever get the chance! The beach is stunning

What time is the last shuttle? The website says it runs for 20 mins from 6:40-12:40pm but says it goes till dusk?

I went for a swim, but the water was really cold, and I became hypothermic and almost fainted. Just make sure to eat during the hike, don’t swim for more than 5–10 minutes, and avoid putting your head in the water if you get cold easily. Also, bring a jacket and pants in case you get cold. Hope this will help someone:))

We made a reservation for the 9:20am shuttle and now I’m thinking it might be too late 😳 What happens if you miss the shuttle back to the parking lot??

Hi, I thought you need a permit for overnight Kalalau permit, to walk to the falls? I've read online that the Hāʻena State Park permit only allows you to walk to the beach and part of the trail.
