@aaron_kubaldc: Save this so you can help yourself. This doesn’t have to be hard. Let it calm down for a couple days, then start dipping your toe back in the water. Are you a runner? Rehab should probably involve some running. Does your sport involve a lot of quick changes of direction? Think of ways to gradually ease into that. As long as we have some respect for the fact that tissues do need TIME to heal (not someone’s magic hands) & we are doing things AS TOLERATED that prepare us for the activity we’re returning to… rehab will probably go pretty well. Even though there is some mild tissue damage, it’s okay to poke into pain here. If you’ve ever rehabed a sprained ankle before, you know it’s pretty much impossible to start using that ankle again without poking into pain. We want to respect the fact that those tissues are still healing, but also realize that it’s just very sensitive & not a sign that the sprain is getting worse. There is a balance to it, as long as you’re gradually ramping up you’ll be fine. When you think about it, this is how we rehab lots of stuff. Let things calm down if we need to, reassure that we can have a bit of pain without making it worse, then start workin’ it. Chronic pain can be a bit more complicated… but those same principles still show up a lot. #anklesprain #sprainedankle #anklepain #runner #ankleinjury #runninginjury

I am curious why you didn’t go into physical therapy, chiro without the popping is basically pt. You’d be great as a pt!

I fell and twisted my ankle this morning. I went to urgent care and the NP said to ice it. I can’t put any ice on it and I work in discharge planning in the hospital. Should I walk tomorrow at work?

A common question is how much pain is to much to push through. Obviously we would love for the ankle to be pain free after you let it rest for a couple days but that doesn’t happen. We are assuming

I sprained my ankle months ago. It's better but still feels like this ankle is intolerant to even slightly irregular steps or it gives me pain again.
I think it also caused my metatarsalgia.
Any tips?

Used to roll my ankle all the time, but now do strength training with balance exercises and it feels like my ankles are super robust. Lots of single leg stuff

A chiropractor told me I have a military neck. Is it really a thing?

You seem more like a PT than a chiropractor. What makes you as a chiro different from a PT if you aren't doing "adjustments"? Asking to learn :)

this is exactly what my DO and athletic trainer had me do in high school, I do it my own now and save the money. I got these exercises ingrained in my head from playing sports 😂😂😂

Never heard this acronym. In the sports medicine world we’re doing the opposite 😅 encourage movement early on to limit edema and analgesics to allow better function
