@liz.onelifenutrition: “Ruptured” is actually the correct term. I watched his eye literally ooze out of his face. It was scary and I was panicked. They wanted to life flight us to a trauma center because our local hospital does not have a ophthalmology department. But, the weather was horrible (high winds and lightening) so I had to drive him three and a half hours to the nearest hospital equipped to put eyeballs back together. That’s a story for another time though… The point of this video is to show him some appreciation. Despite being in a lot of pain, being told he has “lost his eye”, having a fractured sinus, going into surgery and being poked and prodded for 2 days straight, he kept asking ME if I was okay. He made room for me on his hospital bed, got me a pillow, and even rubbed my feet. I have been in several relationships (even a 9 year marriage), and I have never felt so supported and cared for in my life. He’s the most unselfish, kind, and loving man I have ever met.
