I thought my MIL might be iffy when I called my second son Finn, but 2 weeks before he was born my SIL (her daughter) had a baby and called him Buddy. So I was safe with Finn 😂

I hugely value my parents’ opinion. I gave my son a very classic lovely name, I’d probably have been embarrassed to tell them if I’d named him something silly or made up like lots of names these days

I saw my MIL message my partner saying she doesn’t like the name Dexter. I named him Dexter.

My mother in law said I couldn’t call my son Jude because it is like Judas 🙃 went ahead with it anyway, and so she refuses to call him by his name now. She isn’t even religious!

My in-laws told me that my daughters name is a "made up name" and my sons name is a dogs name. My daughter is Maleia and my son is Casper. They didn't comment on my youngests name which is Hattie😂

Im like 99% sure my mum hates my second sons name Sidney 😂 when I had my Stanley she went on and on for weeks about how lovely his name was but with Sid we got an 'oooh' and that was it 😂🙈

My family hated my oldest name Finley, were ok with Elijah & Mina but when I said my 4th was being called Saxon my mum asked if it was final & maybe I should look at other names.
