@danaandthecats: Earlier this week while tap tap tapping away on my keyboard for my day job I saw my phone blowing up with notifications about a kitten screaming from inside the engine of an abandoned mattress truck during a downpour. I wasn't able to go myself but was trying to coach some other members of our local rescue network on safely securing the kitten. It was down to the wire, the kitten wasn't tempted by food and wouldn't jump down to check out the trap, the rain wasn't letting up and everyone needed to leave, knowing that @reluctant_catlady can't pass up an opportunity for a dramatic rescue, we tapped her in. She arrived on the scene with an expert confident scruff to bring the kitten down from the engine and into the trap within 3 minutes of her arrival. The kitten is safe and warm, and we're naming him Mattress 🛌 #kittensoftiktok #kittenrescue #adoptdontshop
