I told my son, it's ok not to know why he was upset. I would just hold him until the emotional episode was ok. after he was calm he would thank me. he is 20 now

Aww my momma’s heart is crying with C3. I have definitely been there with my son when he was that age. It definitely gets better with age because they learn how to manage emotions better.
