@unchaindapp: Do you feel completely vulnerable to every temptation that comes your way? That's exactly what Proverbs 25:28 is talking about: "A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls." In ancient times, a city without walls was doomed. Enemies could walk right in. Thieves could take whatever they wanted. Wild animals could roam the streets. This is your life without self-control. I used to think freedom meant doing whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. No restrictions. No limitations. Just pure, unfiltered desire. But I was building a city without walls. Every impulse became my master. Every craving commanded my attention. Every fleeting desire directed my path. I wasn't free—I was exposed and vulnerable. Your anger issues? A broken wall. Your addiction to screens? Another breach in your defenses. Your tendency to speak before thinking? A wide-open gate for regret to march through. The Bible isn't restricting your freedom with this teaching—it's showing you how to protect it. When you build the walls of self-discipline, you're not imprisoning yourself. You're defending your most valuable treasures: your peace, your relationships, your future. Today, I invite you to inspect your walls. Where are the breaches? What areas of your life stand completely undefended? The repair work begins with awareness. Then comes the daily discipline of laying new stones, one choice at a time. Your city—your life—is worth defending with all your might. —————— 👉 If this message spoke to your heart, type “Amen” in the comments and share this with a friend.
