Conservatives and anti-ab advocates may not approve, but that doesn’t make it any less true. And forcing people into pregnancy as a demonstration of that disapproval isn’t the moral high ground—it’s just force.” We don’t apply this logic elsewhere: 🚗 Driving doesn’t mean you consent to a crash (that’s why we have seat belts.) 🔥 Cooking doesn’t mean you consent to getting burned (that’s why we use oven mitts.) So why treat pregnancy as an unavoidable consequence of secs? We have contraception, emergency contraception, and ab because reproductive freedom is a human right. Everyone deserves control over their own bodies, reproductive choices, and futures! This mentality disproportionately harms people with uteruses, LGBTQ+ folks, and marginalized communities: 📚LGBTQ+ folks face stigma and barriers to reproductive care. 📚BIPOC communities experience higher maternal mortality rates and systemic healthcare discrimination. 📚Women and people with uteruses bear all the responsibility for pregnancy. 🤨If pregnancy is the “natural consequence of secs,” then why aren’t cis men held more accountable for the pregnancies they cause? They can father HUNDREDS of children, yet face no restrictions or consequences. 📍Bottom line: Secs isn’t a punishment. Parenthood isn’t a consequence.
