I don’t think she did it. At the end, her and the shadow (woman in the yard) became one. She looked over at the bear her daughter gave her and overcame the urge, hence the smile.

Ok so someone said she was already ☠️but she was stuck in limbo and didn’t cross over because she couldn’t let go of her kids. And the ending was her heaven because she finally let go.

I agree with most of this, except why did she have her kids with her at the end? That’s why I think she offed the kids along with the animals and herself. I saw it last night and cried. Was a good 1/2

or remember in the scene they were talking about how a dead body stiffens up and the lady said that she hasn't left the room in weeks so maybe she died in the room and stuck in between

Just watched it🙃. I think she did end the daughter which is why the boy looked so scared and didn’t stop the women in the veil when it went to grab Annie in the attic. I was confused on why he just sat there and watched w/o trying to save his sister. But that’s because his sister wasn’t really there and he was terrified at watching his mom talk to no one. After that, he immediately did whatever his mom asked compared to in the beginning he was purposely disobedient….he was terrified.

After listening to your analogy, it made me remember when she stabbed the pillow but it portrayed the pillow initially as the little girl. I wonder if she actually ended her daughter? Not sure if she ended Tay - any thoughts?

Although I enjoyed this perspective. I disagree, especially when she mentioned that the woman may return, because those of us who fight depression and anxiety don’t completely get over some of these feelings, we have to fight them every day. Also I believe the point of the movie is to give people hope, etc. The only thing that was backwards was her name on the picture, the sign was not backwards. I believe that was her signature way of signing and when she saw her daughter writing that way, it annoyed her because it reminded her of when she used to paint, etc. Lastly I saw another video where the creator actually read the original script and it is completely transparent on how it ends which is, she didn’t commit the act.
