W takes here. There is no reason to NOT start on a reasonable starter bike. You have your entire life to ride and buy bigger bikes. Start in a small bike, you will learn so much more.

I'm sick of the beginner bike debate. the best beginner bikes are the r3, ninja400-500, etc. you can get something faster if you want, but at the end of the day the low cc bikes are best for beginners
