It’s been a while since I shared one of my favorite little interests, so here we go… Hi, I’m Jade, and I absolutely love historical cemeteries. (I know… what the hell, right? 😂 I’m just a little morbid.) While I was in London, I finally got to visit Highgate Cemetery, and it completely lived up to everything I imagined. Resting here are artists, authors, poets, visionaries, and the great Karl Marx but beyond the history, the cemetery itself is breathtaking. There’s something so special about the UK’s historic cemeteries. They’re peaceful, reflective, and unlike anything else you’ll experience. Highgate felt almost magical, like stepping into another time. I can only imagine how incredible it must look in the autumn. My favorite monument was a sculpture of a man embracing his wife. There was something so moving about it, love captured even in death. It stopped me in my tracks. Even though the cemetery is wild and beautifully overgrown, every path, every monument, and every vine somehow felt exactly where it belonged. Marble, history, artistry, nature… all woven together into one unforgettable place. I honestly wish I’d had another few hours to wander. If you’re ever in London, I can’t recommend Highgate Cemetery enough. It’s haunting in the most beautiful way and easily one of the most awe-inspiring places I visited. I’m still an amateur when it comes to making reels, but I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into one of my favorite adventures. 🤍🫶🏽#jadecargill #fyp #foryou #foryoupage #powerflip💪

إذا كان علماء الآثار في مصر يبحثون في تاريخهم، ويطرحون الأسئلة حتى عن أكثر القصص شهرة، فلماذا نخاف نحن في الجزائر من السؤال؟ يا شعب الجزائر... متى سنبدأ بالبحث بدل السخرية؟ متى سنسأل بدل أن نهاجم؟ أين علماء الآثار؟ أين المؤرخون؟ أين الجامعات؟ من سيخبرنا بمعنى هذه المواقع والأسماء والأساطير المنتشرة في بلادنا؟ ليس عيبًا أن نبحث عن تاريخنا، بل العيب أن نترك الآخرين يكتبونه عنا ونحن نكتفي بالرفض أو السخرية. كم من موقع في الجزائر ما زال صامتًا؟ وكم من قصة تنتظر من يدرسها دراسة علمية؟ لماذا إذا طرح أحد سؤالًا عن تاريخ الجزائر، يُتهم أو يُسخر منه بدل أن يُناقش بالأدلة؟ التاريخ لا يُبنى بالغضب، ولا بالإنكار، بل بالحفريات، والوثائق، والبحث العلمي. يا أبناء الجزائر... لا تخافوا من السؤال. السؤال هو بداية المعرفة، وليس نهاية الحقيقة. إلى متى سننتظر باحثًا أجنبيًا ليأتي ويخبرنا بما يوجد في أرضنا؟ أليس في الجزائر علماء قادرون على دراسة تاريخها وآثارها؟ من يحب وطنه لا يخشى البحث في تاريخه، بل يسعى إلى فهمه وحمايته، مهما كانت النتائج لا أطلب منكم أن تصدقوا أي رواية... أطلب فقط ألا تمنعوا البحث. دعوا العلماء يبحثون، ودعوا الأدلة تتكلم. فالحقيقة لا تخاف من السؤال
