@alexsobel: The British public do not want our net zero future to be built on slave labour. I welcome the Great British Energy Bill and the Government’s commitment to achieving our net zero ambitions and clean power by 2030, but we must have the highest ethical standards for our solar industry throughout the process. I put down an amendment on this Bill, which aimed to prevent Great British Energy from utilising any companies where there is evidence of modern slavery in their supply chains. Whilst amendment has not been selected I hope to work with the Minister to get a workable debarment list, so that we can ensure that GB Energy is acting on modern slavery.
