Annie may have been a career tribute but she was definitely not prepared for the games. So basically what happened is that during her time in the 70th Games, she witnessed her district partner get ended. As well all do from time to time. But she did not take this well. In fact, she took it the opposite way. Upon witnessing the least chill thing she’s ever witnessed, Annie ran off by herself and hid for most of the games. She would have eventually joined her partner, but then an earthquake broke a dam in the arena. Because apparently these arena’s can have earthquakes and dams, are you telling me they don’t have to just be forest? Anyway, the dam broke and most of the arena got flooded. Annie won because she was the best swimmer. Because she was from District 4, a place where water tends to reside. The mad girl never recovered from that, hence her nickname the “Mad Girl”, and she never ended up coming back to the games as a mentor or as a spectator.
