@travelwell_joelle: 🐭 Meeting Cambodia’s Hero Rats at APOPO 🇰🇭 Last month, I had the chance to visit APOPO in Siem Reap, where African giant pouched rats are trained to sniff out landmines—helping to clear Cambodia’s countryside and save lives. Watching these little heroes in action was incredible! These rats are light enough to walk over landmines without setting them off, and their powerful noses detect explosives much faster than metal detectors. Thanks to them, families can safely return to their land. True to Cambodian form, even the APOPO visitor center had AMAZING coffee ☕️ To wrap up my visit, I made a donation to help provide medical care for these amazing creatures. If you’re in Siem Reap, I highly recommend visiting APOPO to see their life-saving work firsthand! 🐀❤️ #HeroRats #APOPO #SiemReap #CambodiaTravel #TravelWellWithJoelle #EthicalTravel #ResponsibleTourism #MindfulTravel #TravelForGood #LandmineFreeCambodia #VisitCambodia #DiscoverCambodia #ExploreSiemReap #APOPOHeroRats
