Next time try putting the resin directly on the crack slowly watching your make sure it feels the crack then put the clear film over it.. let it cure in the sun when finished

I did a similar hairline fracture with more of a pit and it filled the pit nicly and hairline still was visible not as much as yours but still, and the pit is slightly cloudy but I have peace of mind

unless you replace the windshield it will always be there. all those kits do is fill it wirh resin to prevent it from cracking further. they dont take it away completely.
