I've had people yank my Ci's off "as a joke" and then keep them from me even when asking for them back. I'm 100% deaf. Would you yank someone's wheelchair or their guide dog from them? Wtf.

my grandma cried when she found out I was deaf. my audiologist blamed the hearing test machine being broken (I was in fact deaf). i have so many girl it’s not even funny

I was voice off and signing and a guy came up to me and said “speak!” I didn’t comprehend why in the moment so I verbally said “Why” and he goes “WOW you look and sound good for a deaf person!”😑
