That’s right. We can’t hire anybody here in Michigan. Factory jobs are not the jobs people want. They’d rather work a few part time jobs at stores and restaurants before they work in a hot factory.

There won't be jobs if new factories are built, they'll be 100% automated w/a few tech workers monitoring the systems. Why would a company build a new plant w/ 19th century production methodologies?

Those jobs used to have a pension after 30 years that is only reason most folks took them. Now those are gone so why would someone take those low skill jobs on the floor
