Had to come back to the last Chinese buffet in Manchester’s Chinatown. @chinabuffetmrc Yep, these guys are the last one standing in Manchester—and personally, for me, the quality and price you get here makes it 100% worth it. Prices range from £13 to £17 from lunch to evening. A really solid all-you-can-eat Chinese. Yes, I did get stick for calling it “traditional & authentic” (lol), but let’s be real—this is Western traditional Chinese and it’s flipping good. A lot of people assume they’ve gone cheap and freeze everything, but actually, they make everything fresh from scratch daily. Philip was kind enough to show me behind the scenes—so of course I had to come through. He told me that if you go down the road to any other Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, you’re paying over £15 just for a sweet & sour chicken. But here, for £13 at lunch, it’s all-you-can-eat, and the quality is just as good as anywhere else. Not to mention: unlimited crispy aromatic duck. Yeah… pretty decent, I’d say. Philip’s been here for over 20 years—and it’s clear why they’re still going strong.
