You said olfactory and gustatory hallucinations and I immediately thought seizures and that she needed brain imaging…. And I’m a general surgeon. Nothing remotely close to neurology. But I’m a freaking doctor and my ears worked in med school and continue to do so. Jesus.

Yep. My stroke coordinator years ago had a new headache and was told it’s because of Covid. I did a CT head; she had a golf ball size tumor. She is back to work and hates doctors. 😆

After male OBGYN's for YEARS told me my pain that kept me from getting out of bed and heavy flow was "just a normal period and maybe I just didn't tolerate pain very well" I went to a female OBGYN who Dx'd me with Adenomyosis and Endometriosis. I had a hysterectomy 3 months later. She saved my life. I thank my lucky stars every day for her! I just don't understand why we aren't taken seriously.
