It’s definitely a flexplate and not a flywheel. In addition… Toyota Hybrids don’t even have starter. Motor Generators in the Transmission start the engine

its a flex plate. the ring gear is a sperate part that can be on the flex plate or torque converter. get it right Dave. lol

BMW X7 LCI when the 12v and 48v are at above 70% SOC start without a starter. They have a starter for a fail safe of course. That makes the smooth stop start operation. No starter=buttery smooth

quite a few times actually. when I had dead batteries I would just park on a hill then stick it into 1st and push it or if there was no hill I would put it into 4low and give it a light push
