INEC YANKS LADI ADEBUTU OFF FINAL LIST AFTER THREE TIMES AS PDP FLAGBEARER — OGUN PEOPLE DEMAND ANSWERS ABUJA/ABEOKUTA — In what many have described as the most barbaric political injustice of the highest order, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reportedly removed the name of Hon. Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu, popularly known as LADO, from the final list of governorship candidates for 2027. The news which broke with the print-out of the said final list has thrown Ogun State into confusion and anger. PDP members across the 20 Local Governments are crying foul, asking one simple question: IS IT TODAY THAT LADI ADEBUTU STARTED CONTESTING UNDER PDP? For the records, Hon. Ladi Adebutu is not a stranger to the ballot. He has flown the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not once, not twice, but *THREE TIMES*. He contested in 2019, he contested in 2023 where he clearly won but was rigged out, and now 2027. Why is it now that INEC suddenly remembers to remove his name? What has changed? Is it his name? Is it his party? No. What changed is the fear in the APC camp. The fear of LADO's massive acceptance across Ogun Central, Ogun East and Ogun West. OGUN PEOPLE DESERVE AN ANSWER Sources inside PDP allege this is not INEC acting alone, but *THE VISIBLE HAND OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT* using federal power to cripple the opposition. How else do you explain removing the most popular opposition candidate in Ogun on technical grounds that never existed before? If Adebutu was qualified to contest in 2019 and 2023 under PDP, what law says he is not qualified in 2027? This is selective justice. This is political assassination. This is an attempt to hand over Ogun State to a Lagos import without contest. Members of PDP in Ogun State say they feel cheated, betrayed and suppressed. They see this as a clear message that APC does not want any credible contest in 2027 because they know they will lose. We are calling on INEC headquarters in Abuja to immediately come out and explain to Nigerians why LADO's name was removed. We are calling on international observers, civil society, and all lovers of democracy to take note of this daylight robbery. You cannot remove a man who has been on the ballot three times and tell us it is due process. Ogun State people are not fools. Let it be known: No amount of list manipulation will remove LADO from the hearts of Ogun people. If INEC thinks removing his name from paper removes him from the street, they have failed. ITURA DE! OGUN PEOPLE SAY ENOUGH OF FEDERAL INTIMIDATION. LADO REMAINS OUR CANDIDATE, LIST OR NO LIST
