I’m a Muslim and I say this with respect: it’s simply not true that rape never existed in Islamic history. While Islam fundamentally forbids injustice, there are Quranic verses and hadiths where sexual acts with slave women are described without mentioning consent. We must acknowledge that this happened—even if it's uncomfortable. Denying it doesn’t help Islam or its future. If we want to stand for justice, we must be brave enough to admit past wrongs committed in the name of religion. This isn’t an attack on Islam—this is honesty. I still hold on to my faith, but I won’t close my eyes to the truth.
