I’ve owned front loaders for over 30 years, never had mold. I keep the door open, don’t use fabric softener and wipe the rubber once a month.

Mold WILL NOT grow if you don’t use fabric softener. I’ve had a front loader for 15 years, I’ve NEVER used fabric softeners and only used white vinegar as my fabric softener.

I always keep the door open when I’m not washing. I’ve had the machine for years and NO mould at all. Perhaps educate people on how to avoid rather than freaking them out.

Had front load for 20 years and never had mold! Just wipe after laundry done and keep door open for the day, no mold! Problem solved

Front loading washers are the most efficient clean the best and uses less water. Like the previous post said keep the door cracked after use and keep a bottle of Clorox and water and once a week spray
