I loved it. But, it took some getting used to. lonely. all decisions are on you, yes. getting all three kids to events, ugh.

My husband has the same kind of job. Air Force and it's lonely but i totally understand but your right people don't have a whole lot of understanding unless they are in our shoes

I think the hardest thing is getting acclimated for him being home and when making the decisions while their gone and then trying to include him in the decisions when he comes back.

Girl me too. I’m in this same boat - I don’t have a military husband but I have someone that made a decision to make a business and be gone Mon thru Friday. Weekends sometimes too

If im lucky, I get my husband for 2 months out of the year (not consecutive). He works internationally too. You are not alone! Luckily my kids are now grown so I can travel to him too.

27 years married two kids, he has always traveled internationally and domestically our whole marriage. I am and I’ve learned to be very independent and we are financially sound because of his job.

We need to have more terms than just “single mom”. There are so many levels. Some in situations like yours, some who are divorced but dad is in the picture, and some who are doing everything alone.
