My therapist always tells me ( she works with a lot of kids) “there is a lot you can do wrong but it is very hard to do something irreparably damaging unless you’re doing it on purpose.”

Stop blaming screens. It’s parents. Parents who use screens as a way to neglect & ignore their child. It’s not the screen- most of us grew up w/ a screen- it’s the parents not wanting accountability.

APOLOGIZE TO YOUR KIDS WHEN YOU MESS UP, YELL, BREAK A PROMISE, ETC. They need to know that adults/parents aren't perfect and see how to apologize when needed.

Parents are always quick to invalidate their kids feelings and melt downs. Kids build healthy relationships as adults when they’re validated growing up and talked through emotions - not dismissed
