Instead of pulling money out and keeping it in the book, open a high yield savings account and every time you deposit the cash amount, put a piece of paper in the book. That way you gain interest.

As a teller I loooove just sitting and counting money by hand lol I wouldn’t have minded at all. I would’ve put it in a CD or money market or something tho if I were you.
