Common issue for running through string is too much throttle. Edge at medium to low throttle, there’s no need to full send it

soaking does not make it harder it makes it more flexible and if you add a little dish soap to the water gives it a little lubricant to advance easier

The string is to long, guards are necessary imo. 22yr myself in the business it’s key to not have a flop line. You can see when he hits the sun light that string is all over the place.
