River fishing for smallies, I'd recommend a 3/8 oz peanut butter and jelly football head jig with a green pumpkin netbait or strike king crawl trailer. check Walmart for the jig combos for cheap.

You do pretty well. If you’re looking for a tip, I would suggest an 8 ounce jig head and a white Mr. twister tail. Cast out slow retreat back. Will catch about anything Bass and Walleye love it
