This kid! 😑😂 I’d just like to say I never expected this video to blow up 😂 it’s from 4 years ago, my family and my nephew find it hilarious. The comments on this video just prove to me that the majority of the world doesn’t understand intellectual disabilities, and I’m lucky to have an amazing family, a sense of humour, and an amazing child! The ones writing vile comments, judging us without knowing the whole story, and making wild assumptions, without ever reading or looking at any of Freddie’s other posts are what’s wrong with the world, NOT my child. It can be because an individual is autistic and significantly delayed, that things like this happen. Some autistic children do struggle with impulse control, and can have behaviours that display as challenging, distressing, or not 'socially appropriate/acceptable'. Some autistic children have very limited understanding due to also having learning disabilities/significant developmental delays. Sometimes if you don’t laugh you’ll cry! And it wasn’t even me laughing at the time. But I’m glad my family did laugh because at the time I was mortified. It helps so much to have understanding people around you. No he’s never kicked a cake before. Did I try to make him understand that what he did wasn’t acceptable after he did it, yes, even though he doesn’t always understand. He has a severe intellectual disability. That doesn’t mean we don’t try to teach him right from wrong. Yes we laugh about it now, 4 years later.
