@ainedorman: Windows in NYC are challenging… AKA window units, air flow, AC installs right where you don’t want them 🫣 My vision for this room was colorful curtains to brighten the space up. I found vintage yellow velvet curtains in my parents attic that were so gorgeous but quickly realized I couldn’t close them if we wanted air flow while we sleep 🙂↔️ I told my seamstress mother how I really wanted Roman shades but it would have to be a custom job because of the size. I gave up after seeing the cost but she insisted on sewing and building one from scratch. As with almost all sewing projects… it almost cost us our sanity and a close to calling it quits many many times.
