as an ex enterprise employee, this is hilarious to me. the hack is that you have to come back to the office and have your contract closed, rewritten- then the one way fee is only applied to one day.

when I was driving to FL for my dad's funeral i rented through Hertz. 95 was closed because of flooding. I was a mess. Hertz gave me a free week. I've only used them since. never had an issue.

It took me 2 days & 17 phone calls to change my drop-off location. I had no idea if there were associated charges, nor any clue if I could actually drop it off at the new location a full day early.

The worst. Rented a car in USVI at Christmas for 7 people. I made the reservation months in advance. The plane was delayed an hour and they gave my car away. We had to rent 2 cars at an extra $1100.
