Hey just got back from Tokyo and Kyoto. The train system is complex/confusing if you are new at it. Even locals get confused. The stations are ginormous with 200+ exits.

実際のところ外国人のお客様からチップをもらっても日本の店員は失礼だとは考えないと思います。ただし日本にはチップの習慣がないので日本の店員はチップを受け取らないかもしれません。
