A day in the life of a musical theatre lead — when sick (& tired) but still pushing through. 🎭 Saving voice mode: minimal talking all day. When your vocal cords aren’t effectively closing, here’s what helped me: Bromelain Straw work (all day, with rest intervals) Gargling salt water Lots of hydration (Celtic sea salt, ginger, nettle) Releasing muscle tension throughout the body Apple juice & aloe vera Ibuprofen (for inflammation) Prayer, fr The show went great, but I completely lost my voice the next day. Sometimes you can fix it, sometimes you’re just delaying the inevitable.
