@askvinh: This is a fascinating topic that most people don't talk about... You have to realise that speaking on video is different to speaking on stage to speaking to a friend... you get the point. Your style of communication and the way you use your voice has to adapt to the medium in which you're communicating in order to be the most effective. Now I know what you're thinking... but Vinh if I'm changing myself for others isn't that fake? Well no... you're just expressing a different set of behaviours that you're just unfamiliar with. But because society has this attachment to being "authentic" and being "yourself" in every scenario, that's why you might feel trapped or feel fake when you do something you're unfamiliar with. I could go on about this topic forever, but long story short, it's normal to have different versions of you to be effective in different scenarios. What do you think!?
