I feel like this doesn’t work if you have hyperpigmentation like dark acne marks. You’d have to conceal them with more product and it wouldn’t look light

So if your concealer matches your foundation (ie, you're not using a lighter shade to create dimension) why can't you just build up the foundation in the area areas that you're using concealer for?
