Well, yeah, being approached by random guys in random contexts (be it a café, or waaay more often, subway) is soo annoying… Like, it was rude of her to assume you were asking for money, but my default is either ignoring or “non, merci” and if they insist, “je ne vous connais pas, au revoir”. Especially if you’re just gonna tell us we’re beautiful, ugh… I mean, I don’t know if anything would make it better but… ugh…. Anyway, Colombian/French (who kinda became Parisian for a few years) here.
