Just buy sand and gravel mix next time it’s heaps cheaper get half a tone for like $30 then grab 5 bags of cement

Don’t mind it.. but as a builder I’d be getting the client to also look at what’s happening at the top for the block. Getting ground water against footings like that is a disaster waiting to happen

Only thing I'd do differently is spoon drain instead of messing around with the grate.

You got fall to the street mate. Best option is to run subsurface drainage 300mm under slab.

I did a similar job but used steel channel and concrete sleepers to crate a retaining wall with geo fabric behind that will keep the soil from eroding with the moving water.
