Besides being much larger and more than twice as heavy, they also had a bite force 30% stronger than that of their closest living relatives, grey wolves. Biotechnology company Colossal Biosciences has also previously announced similar projects to create animals resembling other extinct animals such as the woolly mammoth and dodos.
