Lutz Pfannenstiel was a German goalkeeper who made over 500 appearances across 25 different countries. He is the only footballer to play professionally in each of the six recognised continental associations. Pfannenstiel initially had the goal of becoming the German national goalkeeper but struggled to secure a contract in his native country and left for Malaysia aged 18. He was alleged to have fixed three games, including a game where Pfannenstiel was named man of the match after saving a penalty.
