I've had this happen last year! After looking into it, it says to just leave the baby. As long as the mom can see the baby, she will take care of it.

I put a makeshift nest in a hanging plant basket as close to the nest as possible, the parents did take care of it. And that hanging plant basket worked perfectly. 🩷🩷

I think this is what fledgling’s do. They become too big for the nest and they fall out and the mom and dad continue to take care of them. This is normal.

hi! I've kept pigeons and doves before. moving them up somewhere high and closure to the previous nest would be best. if the original nest isn't safe. put it close to the original, out of direct sun..

Use a hanging plant pot or drill holes in the bottom of a container. Chuck in a couple of handfuls of leaf litter/twigs and secure it off the ground. You’re doing great 🥰

to be fair, mommy dove would take two sticks, lay them somewhere and call it a nest. I love Mourning Doves. we call the babies "Irwin".

We had hummingbird fall out of nest and so I put a hanging planter thing with a thing in it and momma flew from nest to it to take care of it put it up higher so animals can’t easily get to it

Calling them "doves" irritates the hell out of me lol. They are literally just another type of pigeon. I have a flock of mourning "fancy pigeons" in my yard and I've been trying to rid myself of them for years.
