1) Not all bacteria is bad bacteria. 2) If you don't have a sterile ice maker AND sterilized water, you can plan on bacterial growth on media.

You introduced your hand into the sample too many times. Your fingers grabbed the lip, the ice touched your fingers and or touched the lip. Collect w/sterile container, use a dropper onto agar.
