once i forgot the deposit was included in the final price so i tipped 25% on top of the deposit so it was like an extra $200 tip for a 180 tattoo the artist deserved it but i was so mad at myself

That’s why I always get 2-3 smaller tattoos at a time !! I’ll pay a little more than the shop min, usually only takes 20-30 minutes, and I always feel better about the amount I spent !!

Booth rent is also a thing too! When it’s come up with my clients they’re always surprised I pay almost the same as I pay for my home rent to just tattoo in the shop I’m at.

i give my artist a small tip just to show appreciation and so she can treat herself to a treat or something, i couldn’t tip 10-20% on a $500-700 tattoo 😭
